Groups
Groups of 20 or more pay an admission price of $4.00 each which gives you entrance to the museum, Morning Star Chapel, Jens Dixen Homesteader’s Cabin and Bedstemor’s House. One “comp” is given for groups of 20 or more; two “comps” for groups of 25 or more.
If your group is interested in a Danish meal we recommend the Danish Inn which serves a variety of Danish and Danish American food. There are several other restaurants serving delicious meals in the community and we’ll be happy to make reservations for your group.

The Danish Immigrant Museum is located in Elk Horn, Iowa, situated along the I-80 corridor midway between Des Moines, Iowa, and Omaha, Nebraska. One of many small communities in the Midwest settled by large numbers of Danes who came to this country, Elk Horn, Iowa still celebrates its Danish heritage with pride.
Take I-80 west from Des Moines or east from Omaha to Exit 54. Go north 6 miles on Highway 173.
